Dynamic Home Care was founded by Karla Moat, who understands care from both sides, as a provider, and as a parent who has relied on care services for her own son. Here's our story, and the people behind it.
Small by design
We're a family-run business, and we've kept it that way on purpose. A small team means our carers get to know your routines, your preferences and your family. Not just your file. It also means stronger bonds and real consistency in who shows up at your door.
Wherever possible, we keep your care to no more than two familiar support workers for the length of your care package, so you're not meeting someone new every week.
Every member of our team is DBS-checked, fully trained, and experienced across a wide range of needs. From age-related care and dementia support to learning difficulties and general day-to-day help.
In her own words
A short note from our owner and director, Karla Moat, on why she started Dynamic Home Care.
“I started Dynamic Home Care because I believe every family deserves the standard of care I wanted for my own son.”
I've worked in care for many years, mostly in social care, including three years with Mencap and time in a SEND school. I hold a BA (Hons) in Social Sciences alongside counselling and care qualifications.
But my understanding of care doesn't only come from training. My son lived with spastic quadriplegia, cerebral palsy, learning difficulties, autism and chronic digestive problems. Over the years we relied on care staff, respite support and eventually specialist nursing care to look after him. So I know what it feels like to hand that trust to someone else, and how much it means when it's done well.
That experience is why I started this company. I wanted our clients to receive the same quality of care I hoped for my son, and to support the families around them, because being a full-time carer for someone you love is its own kind of hard.
We're still a family business today, with our management living under the same roof. We talk every day, which means everyone on our team understands each client's needs and nothing gets lost between us.
