Care and support, shaped around your needs.
Every client's needs are different, so our support covers a lot of ground. From meals and company to medical appointments, the home itself, and even the paperwork.
What we can help with
Five areas of support, and what each one looks like in practice.
Medical
We'll arrange and go with you to medical appointments, so you're never navigating them alone, and we can order and collect prescriptions so you're never left waiting on medication. Where behaviour or mood needs a steady, experienced hand, our carers are trained to manage that calmly and with dignity. After every visit, we keep you and your family properly informed with a clear account of how things went — no surprises, no guesswork.
Companionship
We're there for conversation and company as much as practical help — whether that's a chat over a cup of tea, a trip out somewhere you enjoy, or a visit to see family and friends you might not otherwise get to see as often. If you like to go along to a social club or group, we can escort you there and back, and we're glad to sit with you at mealtimes too, so eating doesn't have to be a solitary thing.
Housekeeping & general support
We offer a cleaning service built around what actually needs doing in your home, not a fixed checklist. We can help keep an eye on daily routines, support small home maintenance jobs so your space stays safe, and lend a hand with letters and paperwork that can otherwise pile up. If there's a company or agency you need to deal with — a utility provider, a landlord, a council department — we're happy to liaise with them on your behalf.
Dietary requirements
We can take care of the shopping list and do the shopping itself, so the cupboards stay stocked with things you actually like. When it's time to eat, we're happy to help prepare a meal or cook it for you from scratch, always keeping food hygiene and safety front of mind. We also keep an eye on how much you're eating and drinking day to day, because appetite can be one of the first things to change quietly — and one of the first things worth noticing.
Applying for benefits
We can help you apply for a benefit for the first time or renew an existing claim, and we've supported plenty of clients through to a successful outcome — often securing higher payments or lower bills than they were getting before. This service is free if you're already a client of ours; we only charge for the time spent gathering the information needed to make a strong application.
Depending on your age and circumstances, the benefits we most often help with include Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Attendance Allowance, Carer's Allowance, Council Tax Reduction, Pension Credit and the Warm Home Discount. This isn't an exhaustive list — there may be others worth exploring depending on your situation — and you can find further information on GOV.UK's benefits pages.
